Photo of Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park

I photographed this photo of the amazing Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park in August of 2021. It was a hot summer day at around 100 degrees. Overall, the Mesa Arch is quite beautiful, but scary at the same time – as there is a sheer drop-off right on the other side. It is perched right at the edge of a cliff. For this reason, if you are visiting the area with small children, I’d keep them close by.

Mesa Arch in Canyonlands is probably the most popular site to see in the Canyonlands National Park. It’s about a 1/2 mile hike to get to it so it’s very doable to see.

This photo is a close-up of the Mesa Arch focusing on the center where you can see out into the canyons. Canyonlands National Park is located in Southern Utah. Many other National Parks are located close by including: Capitol Reef National Park, Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Zion National Park.

We actually just came from Capitol Reef National Park, and we were heading to Arches National Park after our stop at Canyonlands.
